The upper north shore is the name given for a group of suburbs that run along the northern train route from Chatswood through to Hornsby. The suburbs sit within the boundaries of Ku-ring-gai Council and Hornsby Shire Council.

Major roads that service the area and its surrounds include Pacific Hwy, Mona Vale Road and the F3 Freeway.

Private buses operate in the region servicing the area and its surrounds. Forrest Coach Lines and Shorelink service the area.

The upper north shore provides residents and visitors with an array of activities to become involved in.

Chatswood shopping centre is home to Chatswood Chase and Westfield. All the major shops are located within the shopping district as well as a large number of specialty shops and Cinema.

Hornsby shopping district is anchored by one of Westfield’s largest centres, where you will be able to find anything you need.

There are also regional shopping centres at Lindfield, Gordon, St Ives and Turramurra.

For the golf lovers, there are a number of golf courses nearby including Pymble, Terry Hills Golf club and Driving Range, Monash, Gordon, Chatswood and Avondale golf courses.

The northern beaches are also not too far away. Beaches include Manly, Freshwater, Dee Why, Curl Curl, Narrabeen and up through to Palm Beach.
