The Hills District informally refers to the north Western Suburbs of Sydney. The Hills suburbs are generally located within the local government area of Baulkham Hills with parts of Blacktown, Hornsby and Parramatta also included.

Most of the houses here have been relatively recently built . This has previously been a growth corridor for both residential and commercial development. The rail line extends from the CBD all the way to Hornsby as well as from Beecroft through to Pennant Hill, Thornleigh and Normanhurst with a new Epping to Chatswood line under construction which would greatly benefit the members of the Hills District community.

The district has both private and public bus companies to choose from, with Hillsbus, Busways and Sydney Buses leading the way. Many people commute into the city using the motorways that have been built.
Major roads that service the area include the M2 Hills Motorway, Cumberland Highway, old Windsor Rd and Pacific Highway.
