Central Coast

The Central coast is the name given to the area north of the Hawkesbury River and south of Lake Macquarie. It is one of the largest urban areas in New South Wales and is now referred to as a regional city. This region continues to grow offering a range of living options in low, medium and high density housing. Suburban living, rural properties and apartments by the sea are all available making this region very popular. This has resulted in rapid growth.

The Central Coast has several population and commercial centre’s which include Wyong, Tuggerah, Gosford, Erina, Terrigal, The Entrance and Woy Woy which are spread over a large area. The area has a unique feel and is perfect for all ages whether you want to retire, work, visit or raise a family.

Infrastructure:

Transport on the central coast is quite substantial with the train line extending from Woy Woy through Coolawong, Tascott, Point Clare, Gosford, Narara, Niagara Park, Lisarow, Ourimbah, Tuggerah and Wyong. Buses are another option with the main companies Busways, Red Bus and Coastal Liner Servicing the vast majority of areas. A Third but limited option is the Ferry which operates on a few routes. If choosing to drive, there are several major roads that service the region connecting it to Sydney and other areas. They include Pacific Highway, Sydney -Newcastle Freeway, Central Coast Highway and the Entrance Road.

The Central Coast has two large public hospitals in Gosford and Wyong with several other smaller public and private hospitals in the region, along with over 20 age care facilities. Overall the Central Coast has enough infrastructures in place to keep it on the move and take care of all its current and future residents needs.

Things to do:

The region is very popular with tourists from Sydney and all over the country. Visitors flock to The Entrance and Terrigal for a few nights getaway. It is just a short scenic drive from Sydney. There are plenty of activities for residents and tourists. These include visiting art galleries, cinemas, cafes, restaurants, shopping, bars, fishing, golf, horse riding, walks, markets, scuba diving, surf lessons and wine tours. The Central Coast is a great place to live or take a holiday, providing a relaxed holiday atmosphere with all the conveniences of the city.
