Education:

There are a number of private and public schools in the region as well as a selection of universities.
All Schools in the state provide education under the supervision of the South Australian Certificate of Education whether that is public, independent or catholic schools. The city also provides a number of special needs schools which cater for a range of students.

Adelaide has 2 private and 3 public universities which include the University of South Australia, University of Adelaide, Flinders University, Carnegie Mellon and Cranfield University. The universities are all of good quality and are well respected in Australia and the world. There are also numerous TAFE campuses throughout the city providing a high quality of vocational education.

Infrastructure:

The main way for people to travel in Adelaide is by car. The city is well laid out with wide multi lane roads throughout the city. The Port River Expressway connects Port Adelaide to interstate areas whilst the Southern Expressway connects the southern suburbs of Adelaide to the city centre. The Eastern Freeway connects the Adelaide Hills to the city. There are currently plans to extend the city’s road network with construction of a third expressway underway.

Adelaide also has an extensive public transport system. Modes of transport include taxis, buses, trains and trams. The main bus terminal in Adelaide is the Central Bus Station at Franklin Street, Adelaide. This is the central hub for buses which transport the population to all corners of the city and state. The Adelaide rail network has 6 rail lines that all terminate at Adelaide Railway Station. They include Outer Harbor, Grange, Tonsley, Belair, Gawler Central and Noarlunga Centre.

The tram line in Adelaide is mostly limited to the city as well as travelling through the western suburbs.
Adelaide International Airport is located 15 minutes drive west of the CBD with a combined domestic and international terminal. The airport caters for flights from around Australia and overseas on a daily basis. Parafield Airport is Adelaide’s second airport located north of the CBD.

Attractions:

Adelaide is a city where you will always find something to do. The city has beautiful old buildings set along tree lined streets, with parts of the central areas feeling a lot like many European cities. The city caters for all ages and tastes offering numerous activities to partake in and events throughout the year.

There is an abundance of culinary options in the city from the world class restaurants and cafes of North Adelaide small delicatessens delivery gourmet delights. Adelaide central market is open every Saturday and should definitely not be missed.

When it gets hot in Adelaide there are many beaches to choose from close by or there are beautiful scenic drives to other beaches.

Night time in Adelaide provides bars, pubs, nightclubs and live music for all tastes. The main night spots are on Rundle Street, Hindley Street and Light Square.
