The North Coast is an informal name given approximately to the northern coastal half of the state of New South Wales. The area generally includes:

Agriculture, retail, hospitality and tourism employ the most people here as well a small fishing and construction industry. The Pacific Highway is the main thoroughfare that connects the Tweed region with the rest of the New South Wales coast. Whether investing, holidaying or living, this is a great spot to be.

Ballina, Byron and Surrounds:

Ballina and Byron Shire Councils are the local governments in this region. Ballina is located on the Pacific Highway in northern NSW as well as having a small airport serviced by major airlines. The laid back towns around the Ballina area like Lennox head have a mixture of surf culture and city vibes. The now internationally known Byron Bay has amazing beaches with white sand and regular visitors like dolphins and whales. Byron and its surrounds mix a hippy culture with sophisticated hotels, houses and restaurants. This area is growing extremely fast seeing property prices increase due to the number of people it is attracting either to live, visit or invest.

Towns include Mullumbimby, Lennox Head, Brunswick Heads, Bangalow, Ballina and Byron Bay.

Lismore and Surrounds:

Lismore has beautiful rainforests and national parks and is also close to the famous Byron Bay beaches.

Clarence Coast and Country:

This area includes the towns of Grafton, Lluka, Maclean and Yamba. The Clarence river snakes through the country side eventually going out to sea in the town of Yamba where there are beautiful beaches and great restaurants. Lluka has a world heritage listed rainforest whilst the town of Grafton is the commercial centre of the Clarence coastal area. Access to this part of the north coast can be done using road, rail and air.

Coffs Coast and surrounds:

Approximately half way between Brisbane and Sydney lies the beautiful Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas. Coffs Harbour is a relatively big commercial centre which also offers some of New South Wales most amazing scenery. Whether you are taking a walk through a rainforest, relaxing on the beach or whale watching, this place has it all. There are numerous accommodation options both luxurious and budget as well as a host of amazing apartments and homes. Coffs Coast also has an abundance of shopping and culinary options. There are a number of great smaller seaside and inland towns in this area as well some of which include Woolgoolga, Sawtell, Dorrigo, Bellingen and Nambucca Heads. The area is accessible by road, rail and air.

Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Taree and surrounds:

This area is made up of several picturesque towns both on the coast and inland. Port Macquarie is a major resort centre in NSW which attracts tourists from all over Australia and the world. Taree has amazing lush green hills that eventually meet several world class beaches. This area is well established and for good reason as it provides residents and visitors a diverse range of leisure and cultural activities. The area also has an airport.

Barrington Tops:

This area is well known for its world heritage listed wilderness, extinct volcanoes and historical towns. The region provides a great escape with pristine nature all around and a very low population of residents. It includes the towns of Dungog and Gloucester as well.
